Dedicó varias obras al estudio del protestantismo y sus diversas implicaciones históricas y culturales. Algunas de ellas son: Il protestante nella storia (1970), Protestantesimo e capitalismo da Calvino a Weber (1983, con L. Corsani y U. Gastaldi), Vocazione e laboro (2010) y Capitalismo e modernità. Una lettura protestante (2005). Colaboró con diversas organizaciones protestantes e interconfesionales.
